Garden time

I’m still slowly moving things over into the new place, trying to get things put away and organized and get rid of a ton of stuff we don’t need. So much stuff to sort though. That will be a later post though.

Spring is here in full force and it is sunny the birds are singing the breeze is cool. Its such a perfect time to start a garden. There is a sad little patch next to our garage that I want to convert into our vegetable patch this year. I let the littles pick out some seeds. Lots of squash, pumpkins, sunflowers, beans, colorful peppers, peas, and corn.

I think we may go the easy way and plant right into bags of planting soil. It’s not the most aesthetically pleasing way to grow things but since we are renting and I don’t see us staying more than a year I think.

I will be posting pictures of our garden adventures and pictures of the wreck the unpacking has made of the house hopefully later today or tomarrow. I need a new memory card for my camera and the new house does not have internet yet.  I also have a  lot of time on my hands as life always seems to make things stressful exciting. I signed the lease on my new place and then four days later found out that my nanny job was ending. So I’m applying for lots of nanny jobs and trying to figure out what we are going to do. I do have faith that it will work out somehow. Until then I’m using the expected vacation as time to get our house in order, plant a garden, and spend a little time reconnecting with Pumpkin and Rutabaga

What are you planting in your garden this year?
